Experiencing Shamper’s Bluff
Using nature to inspire, teach, and heal, The Freeman Patterson Centre is working to take ownership of the Garden at Shampers Bluff from the reknowned Freeman Patterson. It will combine botanical and horticultural studies, ecology, aesthetics, and health and wellness pursuits on the Shamper’s Bluff Natural Area with the cooperation of the Nature Conservancy of Canada. We are excited to have Freeman Patterson’s legacy carry on into the future and be reflected in our future programming and workshops.
Commitment to Minimizing our Environmental Footprint
It is the immersion in the natural surroundings that will make programs and workshops offered by The Freeman Patterson Centre unique, impactful and meaningful. Environmental considerations are fundamental to the planning of programs we offer, including visitor capacity limits, parking requirements, and the timing of garden maintenance.
